CNC
Routing
|
|
Lexington’s
CNC department includes six routers: four Shodas and one Heian. These
machines are capable of
high volume production
while maintaining close
tolerances. Multiple
parts may be run
simultaneously in a broad
range of materials
including hardwoods,
softwoods, aluminum,
plastics, MDF,
particleboard and other
panel products. A full
service tool room enables
us to reduce lead times
and enhances our service capabilities.

|
Profile Wrapping
|
| Profile
wrapping involves
overlaying various
laminates onto machined profiles.
Benefits include: no
wasted materials (100%
utilization) and fewer
processing steps by
eliminating the need for
painting or finishing. Lexington
currently wraps over a
variety of substrates
including: finger jointed
wood, particleboard, MDF,
fiberglass, PVC, aluminum,
and steel. Laminates
include a
variety of real wood
veneers as well as many
types of vinyl and paper.
Our wide range of
capabilities gives us the
flexibility to meet your
needs.
|
 |
|
RF Gluing |
| The RF
gluing process utilizes
electric current for high
speed curing. Lexington
can glue solid wood and
composite materials into a
wide range of component
parts to fit your needs. RF
capabilities are available
at both
the Coon Rapids and
Brainerd facilities.
|
 |
|
Moulding |
| The
moulder operation is
equipped to provide a wide
range of parts from
basic S4S to more complex
profiles.
Lexington operators are experienced
at moulding a variety of
materials such as finger jointed
core, hardwood, softwood,
MDF, particleboard,
laminated veneer
lumber (LVL), laminated strand
lumber (LSL) and plywood. A
full service tool
room is utilized for
custom grinding and
maintaining current
tooling, which includes
high-speed steel, carbide
and insert tooling.

 |
| Double
End-Tenoning
|
|
Lexington's
double end-tenoning
capabilities are designed
to provide customers with
tight tolerance
components, quality cuts
and volume production.
Consistant with
Lexington's philosophy of
maintaining flexible
manufacturing systems, the
double end-tenoners can
provide a variety of
endwork fabrication
options including angle
gaining.

 |
| Secondary
Capabilities
|
Our
secondary manufacturing
capabilities such as T-moulding,
banding, shaping, T-nutting,
subassembly and packaging
provide customers with
added value and
convenience.
|
|
Dimensioning |
| Lexington
has a well
equipped dimensioning
operation for the
processing of either solid
lumber or sheet stock
materials.
Strategically located at
the center of our plant
for material handling
efficiencies, the
dimensioning area feeds
and supports nearly all of
Lexington’s other
manufacturing
operations.

| Process
Engineering |
From
our early days as a small
job shop Lexington has
been seen as an innovator. As
the company grew,
innovation became
part of the company
culture. It
is this innovative spirit
together with our
engineering strength that
has given Lexington the
confidence to take on the
challenging jobs, expand
the scope of our
manufacturing
capabilities, and leverage
our skills in solving
manufacturing problems
both internally and for
our customers.
Over time Lexington has
acquired the knowledge
base and the technical
resources to increase
value to our customers and
to respond to customers’
needs for growth .

| Stocking
and Shipping
|
-
Stock & Quick Ship
Program
|
In an effort to provide a complete package of manufacturing services
Lexington can also develop a stocking and shipping program for those customers that want continuous flow or just-in-time shipments of truckload
quantities of parts.
Lexington can develop a stocking program that
offers short lead times while optimizing customer shipping dollars.
|
|
|
The
shopping cart program is
designed to help customers
reduce inventory costs and
optimize their shipping
dollars.
Some customers find that
filling a truck with a
variety of components-in
shopping cart fashion- is
the best way to manage
inventories and production
flow.
So whether it be full
trucks of one component or
full trucks with a variety
of components, we have the
ability to tailor
inventory and shipping
programs that have been
shown to lower inventory
costs, increase inventory
turns and improve cash
flows.
