Accounting Associate – Full-time (M-F 8:00 AM-4:30 PM)

Role:

Performs general accounting and bookkeeping support and assists with collections and payroll related duties.

Responsibilities:

General Accounting and Administrative

· Processes, posts and records Accounts Receivable invoices and receipts

· Verifies, posts and records Accounts Payable invoices and payments

· Prepares month end reports and journal entries

· Assists with reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, Fixed Asset documents and accounts

· Assists in preparation of documentation for external auditors

· Maintains vendor and customer account information

· Assists in the maintenance of internal control documentation

Credit and Collections

· Engages in timely follow up on past due accounts

· Interacts with internal and external customers in responding to inquiries related to credit

· Assists with credit reviews

· Documents customer related communications accurately and timely

Payroll

· Serves as backup to Payroll processing

· Process, review and report on Time and Attendance records

Qualifications:

· 3-5 years General Accounting experience preferably in manufacturing environment

· Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred

· Ability to analyze, interpret and report financial data

· Excellent attention to detail and orientation toward meticulous work; strong organizational skills

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written and provide clear and detail information to others

· High working knowledge of the Microsoft products, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

· Act resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality parameters

· Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve desired results
